As I do when I notice a choice someone’s made that I sense will impact others, I want to know more. What caused them to make the choice and what did they hope would come from it?
The choice she and her husband Mike made was that instead of spending money on traditional marketing, they would donate up to $3600 a year with the partnership of their clients spreading the word about their gym via social media. They’re choosing to spend money that could be used for marketing doing good and supporting causes that make a difference in their lives, the lives of those they love, and the communities they live, work, and play in.
Each time one of their members Checks in for a Cause, Christa and Mike donate 25 cents to a local charity. For their first month, their innovative marketing efforts, coupled with their desire to do good, will allow them to present a check to the Hamden Food Bank.
