Sometimes I don’t take care of the junk that I need to, which leads to me to feeling anxious and yucky. In this short video I share how consciously making a choice to do that stuff you hate, but that you have to do, can free you to do what matters.

Every single day we make choices, some big, some small, but certain choices are deeply meaningful because they demonstrate who we are, what we value, where we’ve been and where we’re going.

This is my first, of what I hope will be many, of a live reading of a segment of my upcoming book, The Alchemy of Choice. This story was one of the hardest for me to write, the story of pain and ultimate healing with my relationship with my mother.
This experience is also a beautiful example of Unfolding.
To release shame, the most powerful choice we can make is to forgive ourselves. To release resentment, the most powerful choice we can make is to forgive others for how their choices affected us.
Finding the compassion to forgive yourself can often be more challenging than forgiving another.
Each morning, if you’re feeling stuck or unhappy with where your life is, you have the power to make a new choice. From that choice possibility awaits.
A choice is a conscious commitment to do something that matters to you. Once made, a choice has the ability to expand what’s possible for you while also making a great impact. As you make a choice, you take the first step on a journey that allows the ball of momentum to begin rolling.
